One Name I Heard That I Loved Was Nevaeh; It Is The Name Of Some Celbrities Child, And I Really Like It. Problem Is I Dont Know The Meaning Of The Name[Very Important!] And The Intended Gender Of The Name, So Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

My dad retired from the Army too. We traveled a lot. Then when he retired he still had kids at home so he went to work for the Fed. Bureau or Prisons and retired from that. We could have transferred with the BOP but my parents had had enough.
My brother and two nephews served too. ONe nephew did one tour of Iraq and the other did two tours and goes back again in Sept.
I really respect our military and their families. The families serve also.

Ladies, my father served mostly in Korea just before he retired, he was stationed once near Sacramento, CA. When he retired he worked two years for the U.N. He died a couple of years after he retired of Kidney Cancer in the Veteran's Hospital in Nashville, TN. And Granny is right, the families of the soldiers are also serving!

I hear it at least once a week in the Baby Birth Announcements and the First Birthday Sections of our local paper. It did start with a Rockstar's baby, I believe. I love the name Levi (Matt & Camilla's baby and Sunday (Keith and Nichole). I dislike heavily Jamie Lynn Spears choice (of Maddie). First, it is more associated with her own generation and short for Madison or Madilyn, which are both very very worn out. In the top 10 popular names for the 90's onward, which means one out of every five girls will have that name in school. I prefer names that are not weird (like Inspecktor), but not overused. Just think, 10 years ago, every girl in the graduating class about was named Jennifer, Jessica, Ashley, Heather or Brittany. Any who weren't were very lucky. There's no individuality to overused, worn-out names.

Today I got a notice from United Airline because I'm am a mileage plus card holder and was offered the opportunity to sign a petition to send to my senator Dick Durbin and Barack Obama asking the government to intervene to control oil prices and keep our food prices down . I don't know how to do a poll, Abbie may know. My most embarrassing moment was once my oldest son put his shorts on and didn't have any underwear on, got his pee pee stuck in the zipper, I had to take him to the ER to get it undone, the doctor came over with his cotton ball to dab on there and as if by magic, the zipper just fell open! The doctor just looked at the nurse, and I had a hosptial bill to pay!

Thank goodness I wasn't there but one of the most embarassing things my son ever did was at the age of about 10. He dressed himself up as Tammy Faye Bakker with his sister Tammy's bible and took himself to school. I got more phone calls about how funny he was. Apparently it was some sort of dress-up day and I didn't know it. If I had I would have pointed him towards something like Spiderman or Abe Lincoln. Anything but such a highly controversal person at the time. The only time I ever knew of my son in drag.
